FAQ — Potato trade & export
Answers to the questions buyers ask us most often about export, certification and delivery.
Which countries does Stamagri export seed potatoes to?
STAMAGRI exports seed potatoes to countries including Morocco, Greece, Spain, Germany, France and various countries in Eastern Europe. For each destination we arrange the correct documentation, certification and packaging.
Does Stamagri hold NAK certification for all seed potatoes?
Yes. All our seed potatoes are NAK-certified (Netherlands General Inspection Service). This applies to both Obama and Festo, and guarantees that the seed potatoes meet the Dutch inspection requirements for export.
How does Stamagri arrange phytosanitary certificates for export?
Phytosanitary certificates are arranged per destination country in cooperation with the NVWA (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority). We know the requirements for each market — from Morocco to Eastern Europe — and ensure every export shipment goes out with the correct documentation.
Can Stamagri custom-grade and package potatoes?
Yes. We grade by weight and size according to the buyer's specifications, and package in various formats and materials — from big bags to consumer packaging — tailored to the requirements of the destination country.
What is a typical export order size?
Order sizes range from a few tonnes for smaller growers in Southern Europe to full containers or truckloads for larger buyers. Contact Milo Stam for a quote based on your specific situation.
